Third circular

The International Conference: ”Nuclear Structure and Dynamics” will be held in Portoroz, Slovenia, June 14 – 19, 2015. The conference is hosted by Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia, the Physics Department of the University of Zagreb and the Rudjer Boskovic Institute.

Scientific Program

The conference venue is the congress centre of Hotel Slovenija, Obala 33, 6320 Portoroz, Slovenija, Tel: +38656929001. The program consists of plenary talks, invited presentations and oral presentations selected from contributed papers, complemented by a poster exhibition. The conference will begin on Sunday, June 14, 2015 with Welcome reception. The closing session is planned for Friday, June 19.
Presentations are limited to 20 minutes (including discussion), and plenary talks to 30 minutes (including discussion).
The conference hall is equipped with a laptop (with MS Windows) and a beamer. Presentations should be in ppt or pdf format. Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat will be available in the latest versions. Please provide your presentation on USB stick so it can be loaded onto the computer before the session starts. The pdf files with the oral presentations will be made available on the conference web site.
The preliminary program and the list of registered participants will be
posted on the conference web page on Tuesday, June 2. Posters should be prepared in vertical (portrait) orientation: 90 cm × 130
cm. The poster session will take place on Tuesday evening, June 16.


Registration in the congress centre of the Hotel Slovenija will begin at 6 pm to 10 pm on Sunday, June 14; and from 8 am on Monday, June 15.


The proceedings of the conference will be published by the American Institute of Physics – AIP Conference Proceeding series. Detailed instructions for authors as well as templates in LaTeX or MS Word are available online at:
Please select the 8.5 x 11 inch format. The contributions must be submitted in electronic form. In order to edit the proceedings, we will need the original LaTex files and figures or MS Word document (as appropriate).
The maximum number of pages is: 6 for plenary talks and 4 for all other contributions including posters. Please bring your signed AIP ”Transfer of Copyright Agreement” form and, if needed, the request for permission to reprint published material. These forms can be found at the AIP web site.
A hard-copy of the conference proceedings will be posted to your mailing address after the publication.

Travel Information

Details about travel to and from Portoroz can be found on the conference website. For most, the simplest way will be by bus/car/shuttle via Ljubljana-Slovenia. Portoroz can be also reached by car/shuttle from the International airports in Trieste – Italy (approx. 70 minutes) and Venice – Italy (approx. 120 minutes). We kindly ask those participants who plan to use the shuttle to fill the conference shuttle transfer form at the conference web site (

Conference Fee

The fee includes a book of abstracts on USB, a copy of the conference proceedings, refreshments at the coffee breaks, the poster session reception, lunches (Monday to Friday), the welcome reception, excursion, and conference dinner. After the early registration deadline, the fee is 450 Euro.
The companion fee is 125 Euro, and includes the welcome reception, excursion and conference dinner. Lunch tickets for accompanying persons can be bought at the registration desk. Please note that at the conference desk the fee can be paid in cash only (in Euro).

Social Program

Social events include the welcome reception on Sunday evening (June 14) as well as the excursion and the conference dinner on Thursday (June 18). All participants and accompanying persons are invited to join a tour to Postojna Cave or to working salt pans near Portoroz:,
